The Nitecore i8 itellicharger is an eight bay charger
\ncapable of charging lithium-ion\/IMR and NiMH\/Ni-Cd simultaneously and
\nindependently.<\/p>\n

Each slot is capable of a maximum output of up to
\n1500 mA when only two batteries are charging, 1000 mA with four
\nbatteries charging and 500 mA with all eight batteries charging.<\/p>\n

The
\n active current distribution technology will automatically direct all
\nthe power where it is needed, for example when a battery is nearly fully
\n charged the i8 will divert portion of it current to charge the other
\nbatteries. It also redirects current when using the USB output allowing
\nup to four batteries to be charged simultaneously with the USB output,
\nif anymore than four batteries are being charged then the i8 will charge
\n the batteries first.<\/p>\n

A battery activation feature can revive over
\n discharged lithium-ion batteries, which is not possible in all battery
\nchargers, although you cannot charge over discharged unprotected
\nbatteries as batteries without a protection circuit may cause fire or
\nexplosion.<\/p>\n

The i8 will intelligently select the appropriate
\nvoltage and charging mode based on the battery capacity and it can also
\nidentify if batteries have been inserted with reverse polarity or short
\ncircuited and will notify the user with a quick flashing LED above the
\nrelevant channel.<\/p>\n

While charging is in progress a red LED will
\nilluminate above the charging slot and once charging has complete the
\nLED will go green and charging will automatically stop. Overtime
\nprotection is also built in and will individually monitor the elapsed
\ncharging time for each slot and is an particular slot exceeds 20 hours
\nthe i8 will automatically stop charging and the green power indicators
\nwill illuminate to indicate completion of the charging process.<\/p>\n
